We are your FRONT LINE defense for Oral Hygiene
Each stage of life brings changes to our bodies. These changes can be different for every person because we have different genetics, lifestyles, nutritional habits, and medical conditions. As we age our mouth changes too. Our dental and dental hygiene needs are also different.
The life expectancy in Canada is among the highest in the world and the need for senior specific dental hygiene care is increasing. Nowadays with advanced dental and dental hygiene knowledge and easier access to care, bigger number of older people are retaining their own teeth. Those teeth are very precious. They support partial dentures in many cases and help to retain the bone. There are some specific problems that seniors can experience such as dry mouth, increased cavities, old cracked fillings, gum disease and more.
